Who operates this site
Florida Mobile RV Service is operated by Josh Tomlinson. Josh runs the site day to day: he maintains the technician network, reviews the requests that come through the quote form, and writes the owner guides — the hurricane-season prep, rainy-season roof care, and storage guides — from the repair patterns that Florida rigs actually present, season after season. When you email this site, you're emailing Josh.
One thing Josh is not: your repair technician. He doesn't turn wrenches on customer rigs, and this site doesn't employ the technicians it refers to. That separation is deliberate, and it's how the service stays honest — the person matching you to a tech has no stake in upselling you a bigger repair.
How the referral model works
How technicians are chosen
The network is built area by area, one technician per service area. A tech is added for the patch they actually cover and the work they actually do — house systems like AC, refrigerators, slide-outs, roofs, furnaces, generators, and electrical, plus specialties such as off-grid power work where a tech offers it. Local and independent is the point: these are working mobile techs whose business is driving to rigs, not dealer service departments with a mobile sideline.
The exclusive routing cuts both ways. Because a tech receives an area's requests exclusively, they have every reason to answer promptly and price fairly — and if a job turns out to be shop-level work (a rotted roof deck, a slide room that has to come out), the honest answer you'll get is exactly that, with the reason why.
What we don't do
- We don't perform repairs — and we never quote repair prices on a technician's behalf. Your tech confirms the service-call fee and the exact quote with you before work begins.
- We don't share your request — one request, one technician. Your details aren't sold to lead lists or marketing services.
- We don't pad the site with fake proof — no invented reviews, no stock-photo "jobs," no made-up statistics. The guides and service pages describe real Florida failure patterns in general terms, and every page says plainly that this is a referral service.
Why a referral service at all?
Because the alternative in snowbird season is a dealer service department booking weeks out, for a rig that may not even be movable — a slide that won't retract, an AC dead with the rig leveled at a resort. Mobile technicians solve that, but finding the right one for your area usually means working down a search page and calling strangers cold. This site exists to make that one request instead of ten phone calls — and to give the tech a complete, exclusive request instead of a shared lead they've already lost to a faster caller.
Get a mobile tech to look at it
Tell us what's happening and where the RV is parked, and we'll match you with one local mobile technician for your area — not a shared list of companies.
